From Depot to Historic Landmark

The Victorian-style building was erected in 1902 by Southern Pacific Railroad and operated as a bustling and indispensable part of life in Orange until passenger train traffic through the region diminished in the middle of the 20th century.  Our organization, The Friends of the Orange Depot, raised the funds to renovate the building and now it proudly displays its historic landmark.

Depot Day

Join us for our annual fundraiser the first Saturday of May!  Each year, Depot Day brings fun activities for the whole family, including a kiddie train, exciting rides, food vendors, dancers and musical entertainment.  Inside the Depot model railroad displays and tours of the historic Depot are also available.  In 2024, Depot Day will be even more spectacular as we celebrate our 10th anniversary!
